The English Modern School recently hosted an engaging STEAM workshop for our Year 3 students, presented by Year 10 visitors from The Jordanian School. The session highlighted the importance of sustainability through hands-on learning, where students collaborated to build a functional wind-powered structure from recycled materials and explored engineering concepts by constructing shapes with pins and rubber bands.

The workshop was a vibrant hub of innovation and cross-age collaboration. Our young learners were guided by their older peers through the principles of design, renewable energy, and reusing materials, turning theoretical concepts into tangible, working models.

We are grateful to our presenters from The Jordanian School, a recipient of the Seashore Award for Sustainability, for sharing such an informative and fun activity with our students.

This event perfectly encapsulated our commitment to providing a dynamic, forward-thinking education. By combining Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) with the crucial goal of sustainability, we are empowering our students to become the creative problem-solvers of tomorrow.
