Job Summary:
An Arabic teacher’s major responsibility is to nurture the development of a classroom where the school’s mission, vision, and core values are understood and implemented in a caring manner. The Arabic teacher’s focus will be the academic and social development of the students.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Planning:

Show strong knowledge of learning theory, curriculum design, and Arabic language

Construct yearly plans, course outlines, units and lessons in accordance with school objectives
-
Plan varied teaching strategies to match different learning styles
-
Incorporate Cambridge Learner Attributes (CLAs) in planning and teaching
-
Use media and technology to enhance lesson delivery
-
Evaluate student progress with announced criteria in accordance with school policy
Student Development & Care:
-
Treat each child as uniquely gifted
-
Discipline students fairly and firmly with clear behavioral guidelines
-
Encourage students persistently and help them learn self-discipline
-
Guide students in helping other students learn
-
Provide a positive classroom atmosphere that fosters learning
Communication & Community Building:
-
Communicate clearly, honestly, and with integrity
-
Use varied teaching methods (visual, audible, tactile) to reach all students

Support administrators, fellow teachers, and support staff
-
Participate in After-School Activities program (one activity per term)

Contact parents for assistance in educating their children

Model and encourage cultural awareness and understanding
Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate records for student grades, behavior, and attendance

Attend all meetings consistently and punctually

Use school resources wisely and teach students to respect property

Perform other duties as assigned by immediate superior
Job Requirements (Selection Criteria):

Educational Qualification:Β Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree in Education preferred) with Professional Training and Certification as outlined in school policy

Experience:Β Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching
